In this article, we delve into some of the challenges women who sell or exchange sex face in relation to motherhood. We consider the different aspects of this experience – from family planning, pregnancy and birth to childcare and having children placed in care.

In this interview, Linzee shares the daily barriers and challenges faced by migrant women who have been exploited into the ‘sex industry’ and who are navigating pregnancy. She also reflects on the societal pressures that are placed on mothers in general and specifically on women who have been exploited, and the service responses that can make a difference.
