Introduction to commercial sexual exploitation
This session covers activities related to commercial sexual exploitation, the law regarding selling sex, vulnerability factors, relevant terminology, and indicators of involvement in selling or exchanging sex. We recommend attending this foundational session before signing up for our below practice-based sessions.

Finding the right words: facilitating disclosures of selling or exchanging sex
Many women feel unable to disclose their involvement in selling sex due to shame, fear of judgment, or the risk of negative consequences. At the same time, frontline staff may avoid raising the topic to prevent causing distress. How can we break this vicious cycle and encourage open, courageous, and sensitive conversations about women’s involvement in the ‘sex industry’? This session addresses key points to help you feel more confident and skilled in recognising and responding to women’s potential involvement.

Safety strategies for women who sell or exchange sex or images
What safety risks do women who sell sex or images face? How can services facilitate relevant conversations? What safety strategies are available to women, depending on the setting in which they are involved—on-street, indoors, online? This training introduces practitioners to the CSE Aware safety planning framework and provides practical information that workers can share with women.
